When We Are Closed
Between 1.00pm and 2.00pm, 6.30pm and 8.30am and during weekends and bank holidays, the surgery is closed. If you telephone between 1.00pm and 2.00pm, you will hear a recorded message telling you how to seek emergency help. At other times, you will be given the telephone number of the service which covers emergency treatment during these times. You can telephone them directly by dialling 111.
The out of hours arrangements are the responsibility of the NHS Commissioning Board, and will not involve the surgery. Any comments or complaints about the out of hours service should be directed to:
NHS Commissioning Board
PO Box 16738
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
