Waiting Room BP monitor

We are very pleased to announce that we have an automatic blood pressure monitor in our waiting room which was part-funded by a generous donation from the Wareham Lions, for which we are very grateful.

Patients will be able to come to the surgery between 8:30am-1pm and 2pm-6pm, Monday to Friday, to use the machine, which is situated behind a screen in the corner of the waiting room. The machine is fully automated and will provide a print out of the blood pressure reading for the patient to hand in at reception, once they have written their name and date of birth. This will reduce the pressure on appointments in the Treatment Room, thus allowing time for other healthcare appointments. Additionally, patients can take their blood pressure before seeing the nurse or HCA and hand the reading to the clinician, saving time during the appointment.
